The Warszawa Zachodnia Station
The Warszawa Zachodnia Station is among the largest and most important stations in Poland, being a strategic road and railway transport node point. According to nakolei.pl, it is served by as many as a thousand trains per day (agglomeration, regional, long-distance, domestic and international, freight, WKD and KM trains) and frequented by 40 thousand passengers per day and this number will have doubled by the year 2030.
Both the station building and track infrastructure are currently under modernization.
As a well-experienced contractor of specialist geotechnical works, AARSLEFF has been appointed to take part in this project. The General Contractor, Budimex S.A., entrusted our Company with the installation of micropiles and construction of excavation support system using steel sheet piles and struts.
For 25 years AARSLEFF has actively participated in Poland’s major railway investments.
